Tremayne) and 5th <FONT SIZE="2" COLOR="#FFCC66" FACE="Arial" ><I>Solaire</I> (Mrs Claude Lanyon)</FONT>.  <I>Aida</I> was a new boat built in 1935. </div> <div> <I>Maranui</I> had been sold by Capt. C.H. Tremayne to A. Farrant on the undertaking that she would not leave the port for three years.  </div> <div> <A HREF="id23_solaire_v18.htm" TARGET="_top" TITLE="The SUNBEAM Index "><I>Solaire</I></A><I> </I>was the new name given to <A HREF="id23_speedwell_v18.htm" TARGET="_top" TITLE="The SUNBEAM Index "><I>Speedwell</I></A> by Mrs Lanyon when she bought this boat from R. In the Sunbeam class <I>Caprice</I> (Mrs. H. G. Sicklemore) was the winner, with <I>Maranui</I> (A. Farrant) amd <I>Merrythought</I> (C.B. & Mrs Tracey) second and third respectively. The remainder, in order of finishing, were <FONT SIZE="3" COLOR="#FFFFCC" FACE="Arial" ></FONT><I>Judy, </I>a visitor from the Solent,<I> </I> (H. G. Reynolds), <I>Pintail</I>, a newcomer to the fleet, built that year, (Francis Williams), <FONT SIZE="2" COLOR="#FFCC66" FACE="Arial" ><I>Una</I>,(<A HREF="id89.htm" TARGET="_top" TITLE="Lanyon, Mrs Claude">Mrs Claude Lanyon</A>)</FONT>, <I>Flame</I> (E. K. Tremayne), and <I>Aida</I> (H. K. Sicklemore).  <FONT SIZE="2" COLOR="#FFCC66" FACE="Arial" >In the case of </FONT><FONT SIZE="3" COLOR="#FFFFCC" FACE="Arial" > <A NAME="una__1936____was_her_original_name__1924_"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="1x1.gif" HEIGHT="1" ALIGN="bottom" WIDTH="1" HSPACE="0" VSPACE="0" ></A></FONT><FONT SIZE="2" COLOR="#FFCC66" FACE="Arial" ><I>Una</I>, this was her original name, which Mrs. Lanyon had adopted after the boat had been known under several different titles.</FONT>   </div> <bR> <bR> <div> 1937: In the Sunbeam class, the results of the first day's racing (7 June, 1937), were: 1st <I>Maranui</I> (A. Farrant), 2nd <I>Aida </I>( H. G. Sicklemore), 3rd <I>Caprice </I>(Mrs H. G. Sicklemore), 4th <I>Pintail </I>(Francis Williams), 5th <I>Binaiya </I>(1937) (C. B. & Mrs Tracey) and 6th <FONT SIZE="2" COLOR="#FFCC66" FACE="Arial" ><A HREF="id36.htm" TARGET="_top" TITLE="V18 Polly ex Lindy Una Lindy Una Dawn M"><I>Mabs </I></A>(J. C. Annear).</FONT></div> <div> On the second day, 8 June, <I>Caprice</I> was the winner, <I>Maranui</I> 2nd, <I>Aida</I> 3rd, <I>Pintail</I> 4th, <I>Binaiya</I> 5th, and <I>Mabs</I> 6th.  A new addidtion to the class, <I>Binaiya</I> was built in 1937, while <FONT SIZE="2" COLOR="#FFCC66" FACE="Arial" ><I>Mabs</I> was yet another name for <A HREF="id36.htm" TARGET="_top" TITLE="V18 Polly ex Lindy Una Lindy Una Dawn M"><I>Una</I></A> when she was purchased from Mrs Claude Lanyon by J. C. Annear.  </FONT></div> <div> The Sunbeam Amateur Cup in 1937 was won by <I>Maranui</I> (A.
